ReadyShare Community Safety Standards

Safety isn't an afterthought—it is engineered into every line of code, every pickup, and every mile traveled across North America and Nigeria.

Safety Guarantee

Every driver on ReadyShare is individually verified through government identification, license cross-checks, and vehicle registration before they are permitted to post seats.

1. The Mandatory 4-Digit Pickup OTP Handshake

In-person cryptographic code validation at pickup curb before journey begins

To eliminate the danger of incorrect curb pickups or unauthorized rides, ReadyShare operates a mandatory cryptographic 4-digit One-Time Password (OTP) verification protocol for every single trip:

  • Passenger Generation: When a seat booking is confirmed, the passenger's mobile app generates a unique, encrypted 4-digit code.
  • Curb Verification: Upon meeting at the designated pickup point, the passenger verbally shares the 4-digit code with the driver.
  • Driver Input: The driver must enter this exact code into their driver interface. The ReadyShare backend strictly prohibits the trip from being initiated until this code is authenticated.
  • Zero False Starts: If the code is not entered, fare processing will not execute, protecting both passengers and car owners from fraudulent claims.

2. Comprehensive Driver & Vehicle Document Vetting

Rigorous ID checks, valid license, and vehicle inspections required for all drivers

Before publishing a carpooling route on ReadyShare, prospective drivers must submit and pass strict verification checkpoints reviewed by our trust and compliance staff:

  • Government-Issued Photo ID: Drivers submit a government passport, provincial driver's license, or national ID card.
  • Driver's License Validity: We verify an active, unrestricted driver's license in the jurisdiction of operation.
  • Vehicle Registration & Insurance: Proof of valid vehicle ownership and active motor vehicle insurance is mandatory.
  • Vehicle Inspection: Vehicles must be in sound operating condition with working seatbelts, functional AC, and clean history.

3. In-Trip Audio & Emergency Media Protection

ReadyShare integrates support for in-trip safety media recordings to protect both drivers and passengers during unforeseen disputes:

  • Encrypted Audio Recording: Users have the ability to trigger in-app safety audio monitoring if they ever feel uncomfortable during a journey.
  • Privacy & Encryption: Safety recordings are securely stored on AWS S3 encrypted storage vaults and can only be accessed upon an escalated incident report.

4. Zero-Tolerance Conduct Policies

The ReadyShare community is built on mutual respect and safety. Violation of the following conduct rules results in immediate, permanent account termination:

  • Impaired Driving: Zero tolerance for operating vehicles under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or impairing medication.
  • Harassment & Discrimination: Verbal abuse, unwanted advances, or discrimination of any form.
  • Reckless Driving: Speeding, aggressive lane maneuvers, or texting while behind the wheel.
  • Cash Extortion: Requesting additional offline cash beyond the confirmed in-app split fare.

5. Emergency Assistance & Incident Escalation

Always contact emergency authorities (911 in US/Canada, 112 in Nigeria) first if there is immediate danger. Our 24/7 dedicated safety response desk can be reached via the app or at safety@readyshare.app.

6. Two-Way Community Ratings & Deactivations

Drivers whose aggregate rating drops below 4.6 Stars are placed on probation and subject to removal. Passengers with repeated reported infractions or no-shows are permanently prohibited.
