Cost-Sharing Notice
ReadyShare is a peer-to-peer carpooling network. Drivers share the actual operational expenses of intercity trips (fuel, tolls, wear-and-tear) and do not provide commercial for-profit taxi or chauffeuring services.
1. Acceptance of Terms & Eligibility
By creating an account, browsing rides, or using the ReadyShare website or mobile applications, you enter into a legally binding agreement with ReadyShare Inc. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not access or use the platform.
You must be at least 18 years of age (or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction) to open an account, publish a route, or book seats.
2. Nature of the ReadyShare Platform
ReadyShare operates solely as a technology intermediary connecting drivers with empty seats to passengers heading the same way. ReadyShare is not a transportation provider, common carrier, or vehicle rental agency. The contract for carpooling is strictly bilateral between the driver and the passenger.
3. Accounts, Identity & Verification
Users must register with accurate legal details. Creating multiple accounts or impersonating another individual is grounds for immediate termination. Users are responsible for credential security.
4. Driver Obligations & Compliance
- Valid, unrestricted driver's license in the jurisdiction of operation.
- Vehicle must be legally registered and covered by compulsory motor vehicle insurance.
- No soliciting additional offline cash payments outside of the confirmed reservation.
- Must strictly verify passenger's 4-digit pickup OTP before departure.
- Fares must comply with non-commercial expense-sharing caps.
5. Passenger Obligations
- Arrive at the agreed pickup destination on time.
- Keep 4-digit OTP secure and only disclose upon visual vehicle verification.
- Respect driver's vehicle and posted preferences (music, pets, smoke-free rules).
- No carrying hazardous, illegal, or prohibited cargo.
6. Platform Fees, Digital Wallet & Payouts
ReadyShare deducts a standard 15% platform service commission from the trip fare to maintain security infrastructure and customer support.
Payments are processed through Stripe and Flutterwave in CAD, USD, and NGN. Drivers can withdraw accumulated balances to bank accounts.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability
The platform is provided on an “as is” basis. ReadyShare disclaims liability for driving conduct, acts, omissions, or road collisions. Total aggregate liability is limited to fees paid in the preceding six months.
8. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada (for North American users) and the federal laws of Nigeria (for Nigerian operations). Disputes are resolved through confidential binding arbitration.
